Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out during the excavation of three test pits at the north pier. The sea lock was a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The only original features exposed in the pits were the outer walls of the pier and the stone rubble and sand fill within these. All other features were the product of modern strengthening work or modern surfaces. [Au(adp)] |
