Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the site. An undated pit containing charcoal was identified along with two post-medieval ditches one containing two courses of bricks and a large hollow containing industrial rubble and natural clay. The hollow was either a pond or brick-pit. A trench was also targeted on a former railway/tramway. Stone foundations for the tracks were identified, with gaps for the wooden sleepers. [Au(abr)] |
