Abstract: |
Although only one minor site (a pillbox) was recorded within the proposed development area, geophysical survey suggested that some remains associated with the site, recently discovered to the east on Faverdale Industrial Estate, extended into the area to the east of High Faverdale Farm. The Iron Age and Roman site identified on the Argos site was a relatively rare discovery, as few sites of this size were known that incorporated such a level of Romanization in the Tees Lowlands to date.
