Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a drainage trench associated with the construction of a new distribution centre with ancillary offices, associated car parking areas and lorry park. The groundworks consisted of the excavation by machine of a drainage trench associated with the construction of a new distribution centre. This L-shaped trench was 4.0m deep, 155.0m in length east to west and 34.0m in length north to south. The trench showed natural deposits overlain by 19th and 20th century deposits. [Au(abr)] |
