Abstract: |
A watching brief during minor groundworks on the site of the former north aisle of the church confirmed the alignment of a robbed-out wall foundation belonging to the demolished north aisle which had been recorded during a previous evaluation. The wall was found to continue beyond the western extent of the present-day church. A cut running along the same line as the southern wall of the nave and other structural remains on an unclear alignment were revealed. Inhumations were found within the confines of the proposed extension although no dating evidence was recovered. [Au(adp)] |
