Abstract: |
A watching brief on construction work identified an area of Roman settlement. In the section on the edge of the site a clay layer, with some burnt clay, indicated a possible intact floor level while the pottery was unabraded and of mid 2nd to late 3rd-4th century date. In addition some Roman tile was recovered from the site. [Au(abr)] |
