Abstract: |
No evidence for a boat burial was recovered from Trench one. There was no visible sign of a ship shaped depression and no indication of alignments of nails that could have suggested the previous presence of a clinker-built ship. In trench two, there was evidence for a possible timber structure, represented by a feature interpreted as a beam-slot and possibly a post hole feature. The deposits in the northern part of this trench were not easy to interpret but their thinness and often firmness may indicate that there were occupation deposits. [Au(abr)] |
