Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was undertaken as part of an evaluation of the impact of a proposed quarry extension in a field to the east of Skelbrooke Quarry. Positive anomalies, interpreted as field boundaries were detected. These corresponded to a former field layout as recorded on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map. Remnants of ridge and furrow ploughing were also detected. Isolated postitive anomalies may have been quarry pits. [Au] |
