Abstract: |
Pottery collected from the study area, which covered some nine hectares, suggested human activity on the site spanning the Late Bronze Age to the medieval period. Pottery dating to the post-Roman period constituted only 3.9% of the total identifiable assemblage. The palimpsest of evidence represented in the study area suggested a complex site formed of superimposed settlement and occupation. [Au(abr)] |
