Abstract: |
A strip and record exercise was carried out at Barrowby Hall. One trench was monitored for the proposed access road, due to a planning condition. Two linear features were recorded which were thought to be remnants of a ridge and furrow field system, which had been previously identified by aerial photography. Pottery recovered suggested that the ridge and furrow system was still in use in the mid-17th century and possibly 18th century. [Au(adp)] |
