Abstract: |
Two trenches were excavated, producing remains similar to those found during earlier work, though extensive Saxon and medieval pits suggested an area for rubbish disposal rather than buildings. Stone wall remains suggested some domestic settlement with the possibility of earlier structures surviving beneath. Valuable archaeology existed on the site, though much damage was been done by medieval and post-medieval cut features, and cellarage. [Au(adp)] |
