Abstract:		 An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which was thought to have potential for archaeological remains relating to a Roman road and to medieval roadside occupation. No surviving remains were revealed. It was observed that the natural clay at the base of each trench sloped downwards from east to west, with overlying modern rubble make-up, suggesting horizontal truncation of the area during either the construction of the site car park or during construction of the modern Edgware Road.
