Abstract: |
The archaeological deposits discovered during the field work suggested that there was settlement on the site during the prehistoric period. A Bronze Age cremation was revealed which was damaged by ploughing. Later prehistoric remains were revealed in the form of an oven and stake holes which indicated that preservation on the site was probably favourable and the site may be given regional importance due to the dearth of evidence in the Tees Valley of this date.
