The machine excavation of three 0.3m by 2m test pits was archaeologically monitored. St Mary's Parochial Church Council had Planning and Conservation Area consent to erect a church hall on grounds adjacent to the church. The watching brief found no features or deposits of archaeological significance. No human remains of disarticulated bones were found. [Au(adp)]
