Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for a row of terraced houses. Palaeolithic and Mesolithic flint artefacts had previously been recorded within 250m of the site. During the watching brief, a brick-lined well containing a broken 19th century Wedgewood plate was discovered. Only one other feature, a probable WWII air raid shelter, was found.[AIP] |
