Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of test pits was undertaken in areas of a proposed extension of the centre. The site was thought to contain the remains of a medieval castle, although no archaeological features were identified during test pitting, 19th century finds were recorded. It was concluded that archaeological features, may still have been present in the study area and the proposed development would have removed any potential remains in the area. [AIP] |
