Abstract: |
Excavation of test-pits revealed that modern disturbance continued to a depth of at least 0.4m below the ploughsoil and included modern brick and rubble. It was concluded that the area of intersection of pipe and Roman road had been subjected to quarrying and that no further archaeological work was required.[Au] |
