Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during the excavation of foundation trenches in response to a desk-top assessment and field evaluation which had identified undated ditches and gullies and sherds from a single vessel, identified as an Ardleigh type globular urn of Middle Bronze Age date. The results of the monitoring suggested that if the urn recovered from the evaluation was from a previously unidentified urnfield, it did not appear to extend into the area affected by the development.
