Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the restoration and conversion of a number of barns to residences. The excavation of a pit for a septic tank in the south-west part of the site was monitored. Undisturbed natural chalk was seen at a depth of 0.35-0.75m, beneath rubble and soil make-up for the former farmyard. Nothing of archaeological significance was observed. [Au(abr)] |
