Archaeology uncovered included IA field system, roundhouses and a sub-rectangular enclosure, RB stone flooring, Saxon pottery, artefacts (including a ring-&-dot-decorated spoon), medieval and post-medieval trackways. The area was subject to salvage-recording conditions, although it was felt that the archaeology was at least of regional importance and warranted properly resourced excavation.
Gosbecks archaeological park

Reports the first visitors to this Roman theme park at the heart of what was Camulodunum. The complex includes the theatre, processional way, and sanctuary, and is expected to open officially later in this year (1995).
