A cliff top Cornish mine saved by the National Trust

Article on the acquisition by the National Trust of land at Mounts Bay, Cornwall, including the substantial remains of the nineteenth-century Wheal Trewavas copper mine. As well as two Grade II-listed engine houses, the site includes shafts, stacks, flues and work platform. The mine is lies within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, but it the author argues that it presents a challenge in terms of conservation.
