Bakelite moulding and the Eagle Workshops

Article on the Eagle Workshops and Exchange Buildings, High Street East, Sunderland, which were occupied until 1999 by Fairgrieves, a firm of precision plastic moulders. The firm were early pioneers in the moulding of bakelite, and machinery, moulds, equipment and numerous records remain at the premises. The article includes a brief account of bakelite moulding.
