Abstract: |
Trial excavations on land north of St Mary's Church and east of Govan Old parish church confirmed the survival of significant archaeological deposits in some places, despite severe truncation of deposits due to the construction of shipyards in the area. Recorded features include churchyard boundary ditches, a ditch possibly associated with the Doomster Hill moot mound, and an (?industrial) structure fronting Water Row. The appendices (26--31) summarises field records. |
