Abstract:
Watching briefs in the course of demolition work at the farm steading and mill complex revealed that the mill, with its associated drying kiln, had been the original building on site, followed in the early nineteenth century by the farm buildings. There was no evidence to suggest the existence of earlier buildings, although cartographic evidence indicates that the site was being used for milling from at least 1775. A `Photographic list' (16-17) is appended.
