A substantial masonry building of 16th century preceded the standing late 17th century cottage.

A section across the Cursus yielded over 3000 Late Neo flints in four zones of distribution across and beside the site.

Features (some of which failed to appear on magnetic survey) included a cemetery of 1st-4th century and a whole complex of enclosures and structures. Neo long barrow with mortuary enclosure or round barrow added. BA spectacle-shaped enclosure - ?funerary. D-shaped enclosure, LPRIA into RB with 10 Durotrigian inhumations of 1st AD; some 60 RB burials alongside: 30% with gravegoods, 2 gypsum burials, some decapitations, a dwarf, structures. Post-Roman Chalton-like structures, and later fields.

Nearly 40 short reports or mentions, including EIA marshy deposits at Hengistbury Head; RB saltworking at Upton; final season at the Halstock RB villa; and RB sites in Dorchester.
