Abstract: |
Bones from sixt-five individuals excavated from a number of sites in the city of Lincoln are examined. The majority of the material dates to the medieval period, although there are four Anglo-Saxon burials and a total of twenty-two Romano-British burials of which nineteen were infants. Also examined was a quantity of disarticulated remains from disturbed contexts, among which was identified a possible case of bovine tuberculosis; this is noteworthy as it is unusual to be able to document this type of tuberculosis in human skeletal remains. |
