Abstract: |
Total excavation of the interior of a circular cropmark enclosure of LBA provided a ground plan of surviving features, including several circular posthole structures and a timber revetment for an internal bank. A large deposit of LBA mould fragments was lifted. An Early Saxon cemetery has yielded c 100 pots (AD 425-650), and a Late Saxon settlement of at least thirteen buildings is being explored. Features and finds of Neo-EBA, Iron Age, and RB date were also located. |
