Abstract: |
Resistivity and magnetometer surveys were followed by excavation to sample for blood, exotic plants, and lead-enriched deposits, expected as waste products from the Augustinian infirmary. Detailed analyses of pollen, diatoms, and tests for blood residues were performed and a magnetic survey done. Documentary sources elucidate many details about the hospital and its use. F B/Ed |
