Abstract: |
Papers dealt with problems arising in the cataloguing, conserving, and physical analysis of coins. Edited discussion contributions are included and proposals for future action (including the promulgation of a code of practice) are made. Attention centred on the dilemmas of how much conservation a coin should receive and how many coins should be conserved, and on problems of communication between conservators and numismatists. Contributors: N J Seeley, J P C Kent, K Foley, D MacDowall, S Omar, and W A Oddy. |
