Abstract:		 Archaeology South East was commissioned by McCulloch Homes to undertake an archaeological evaluation on land adjacent to 4, Christchurch Way, London Borough of Greenwich in advance of the redevelopment of the site. The evaluation comprised the excavation of a single trial trench measuring 13m by 1.9m. The natural geology, consisting of fine yellow sand was encountered between 1.27m and 1.31m AOD. This was sealed by a layer of alluvium, in turn overlain by a layer of 18th-19th century topsoil. A sequence of 20th century made ground capped the sequence No archaeological features were observed.
