Abstract:		 The project concerned the conversion of a multi-storey carpark into a commercial complex. This involved little new building, except on the eastern side. Here the access ramp to the car park was demolished and a new structure, built on piled foundation, was erected in its place. The only other excavations were two pits for the lift shafts that would service the converted building. The old drainage system was also renewed. This only involved the replacement of old drains with new ones in their existing service trenches.
