Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in response to plans to develop the site into residential and commercial premises. Three trenches were excavated to assess the survival of archaeology on the site. Trench 1 provided evidence for C13th occupation that may relate to the growth of Hereford around the Norman market place. A C17th well and possible building foundation relating to the Union Street frontage was also uncovered.
