Abstract:		 This desk based assessment was undertaken to study the archaeological potential of a plot of land close to the South Gate, the south entrance to the medieval town of Lynn, but peripheral to the main centres of occupation and activity. The site overlooks the River Nar, part of the medieval defensive circuit, and lies on Southgate Street, the medieval route from the South Gate to the heart of Lynn.
