Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) prior to the construction of two residential dwellings, access roads and car parking spaces. No previous archaeological work had been undertaken on the site and no structures had been built on the site other than the Stone House in the 17th century. The watching brief revealed four features, a ditch of medieval date, a gulley of post-medieval date and an undated pit at the south west end of the site, and the remains of a demolished sandstone outbuilding/structure of probable medieval date to the north east of the Stone House
