Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation consisting of a series of test pits at Brandon Remembrance Playing Fields, in advance of the use of the site for allotments, did not locate any archaeological deposits. The trenching showed that the natural subsoil and potential archaeological levels lay at a depth of at least 1.2m, sealed beneath substantial deposits of peat that have developed due to the sites location within the floodplain of the adjacent Little Ouse River. |
