Abstract:
An archaeolological strip and record excavation was carried out between the 2nd and 27th of June 2003 in advance of mineral extraction operations at Longdell Hills, Easton in central Norfolk. This work constituted Phase 4 of a six phase programme to be carried out over a five year period. A significant number of archaeolological features and deposits were recorded dating from the Early Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Romano-British and medieval periods.
