Abstract:		 During July 2007 a watching brief was undertaken on a vacant plot of land during the excavation of the foundations for a new house at 27a Castlethorpe Road, Hanslope,. A continuous watching brief was maintained during the removal of the topsoil onto the clean undisturbed subsoil. No disturbances associated with earlier occupation were identified during the watching brief and it was concluded that the site had never been significantly developed.
