Abstract:		 Birmingham Archaeology carried out archaeological observation and recording at Birmingham Town Hall, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham City Centre in October 2003, during works associated with the refurbishment of the Town Hall. The work was commissioned by Urban Design, Birmingham City Council. Archaeological observation of groundworks on the north side for air conditioning ducting revealed the brick basement wall of the building and probable repair to the masonry façade but no other significant archaeological features or deposits.
