Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring of construction work in advance of the erection of 3 new wind turbines and associated infrastructure. The site was deemed to have archaeogical potential due to its proximity to Knock Jargon prehistoric hillfort and cairn. Numerous upstanding elements of probable medieval cultivation remains across the site were fenced prior to the commencement of construction activity in order to avoid accidental damage. No features or deposits of an archaeological nature were identifed during the groundworks. |
