Abstract: |
A second season of excavation was carried out at Cults Loch I, an artificial promontory on the N shore of the loch. A large number of timbers were recorded, both horizontal structural timbers and vertical piles. A swathe of piles and stakes in the NE area of the trench may represent the palisade of a crannog structure. Small finds were few, but included a fragement of shale or cannel coal bracelet and whet stones. |
