Abstract: |
AOC Archaeology undertook a desk based assessment and historic buildings research project for 103 Trinity Lane which had already been demolished. A range of documentary and pictorial sources was used to establish that the house was built between 1872 and 1896 by the Maxfield family; no significant architectural changes took place before its demolition. It was a decent example of late Victorian high-status urban architecture, but it was its connection with the Maxfield family that heightened its historic value in the surrounding community. |
