Abstract: |
Wyre Borough Council required an archaeological building survey of a range of agricultural buildings prior to their conversion to residential use. The buildings in question comprise of a large threshing barn and cart-shed/granary building to which various cow houses have been added. The original buildings were constructed out of sandstone blocks and date to the early 19th century, possibly slightly earlier. The later buildings are a combination of stone and brick ans were added in the later 19th/ early 20th century |
