Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on contractor's drainage trench excavations around foot of the church walls. Three or four courses of the foundations to the medieval church exposed. A further projecting stone rubble foundation immediately east of the modern porch may be remains of the medieval porch demolished in the 1950s. No in situ burials were observed in the shallow trench and no other significant archaeological remains observed. |
