Abstract: |
Essex County Council Field Archaeology Unit monitored the groundworks for a new house on the former site of a 17th-century farmhouse at Aylewards Farm, Gosfield. The groundworks revealed the remains of the 17th-century farmhouse, and a ditch and three pits containing sherds of 12th/early 13th-century pottery. |
