Abstract:		 Excavation of 17 30m x 2m trial-trenches across four seperate fields in advance of quarry expansion. Evaluation was conducted in line with a condition and section 106 agreement initiated by Cumbria County Council's Historic Environment Service (CCCHES) due to the discovery of several early Christian and Viking burials within the immediate vicinity. No significant archaeological remains were discovered.
