Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of the construction of office buildings and associated parking, in order to characterise the nature of any surviving archaeological deposits. The site is just to the north of a group of thirteen probable Bronze Age burial mounds and so has high potential for prehistoric archaeology. Twelve trenches were excavated over the plot and, where possible, these were stripped to the level of the natural subsoil. Substantial modern disturbance was encountered throughout all the trenches masking any potential archaeology. No finds or features were seen in the evaluation. |
