Abstract: |
A new dwelling house is proposed within the garden of an existing house at North End, Burgh-by-Sands, Cumbria. A single evaluation trench with a length of 8m and width of 1.5m was excavated. Three features were recorded, none fully exposed within the trench. Two of these may be ditches and one may be either a pit or a ditch terminal. No finds were recovered but other work in the vicinity suggests all may be part of a Roman or post-Roman field system. |
