Abstract:		 An archaeological trench evaluation was undertaken by AC archaeology at land adjacent to St Nicholas Church, Dunkeswell, Devon. Two trenches totalling 32.2m in lenght were machine excavated. A dog grave dated to the 19th century under cultivation soils were recorded. A number pottery sherds and a copper alloy buckle dated to the post-medieval period were recovered.
