Abstract: |
During July and August 2007 Archaeological Services and Consultancy carried out a watching brief at 10 Castle Hill Avenue, Berkhamsted, during the initial groundworks for an extension. Archaeological remains of Iron Age, Roman and Medieval date have been recorded in the area, but on this occasion the only archaeological remains observed comprised a cut filled with modern bricks, interpreted as possible wall footings, dating from the early 20th century. The archaeological impact of the development is considered to be negligible. |
