Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the construction of a new detached garage at 8 The Street, Berwick, which is situated in the shrunken village of Berwick, and close to the earthworks of some deserted Medieval house platforms. The watching brief resulted in the identification of a number of 19th century features and deposits, There were no earlier archaeological features or deposits seen during the watching brief, although an assemblage of residual earlier artefacts including prehistoric flintwork and Medieval pottery was recovered.
